Spring steel

Spring steel 1.4310 , also known as X10CrNi18-8 stainless steel, is an austenitic stainless steel that is often used in the production of springs, fasteners and other parts that require high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. The designation 1.4310 is in accordance with DIN EN 10088-1 and corresponds to AISI 301 in the steel designation system.

The main features of this steel include:

• corrosion resistance –  1.4310 steel  is resistant to atmospheric corrosion, making it suitable for outdoor applications and in humid environments;
• high tensile strength – this steel has a high yield strength and tensile strength, which makes it ideal for the production of springs and other elements that require flexibility and resistance to deformation;
• processability – it is relatively easy to machine, which allows for various shaping and surface treatment;
• magnetism.
