Stainless steel spring strips

In today's world, when technology is constantly developing, we are increasingly looking for high-quality materials that will be able to meet the requirements of various industries. One of these materials is stainless steel spring strips , which are becoming increasingly popular due to their unique properties. Hax-Inox, a leader in the stainless steel market, offers a wide range of spring strips that can be used in many applications.

What are the characteristics of stainless steel spring strips?

Stainless spring strips  are a type of steel strips made of spring steel that are designed to have elasticity and resilience. They are widely used in various industries due to their unique properties such as corrosion resistance, high strength and flexibility. We offer you stainless spring strips made of different types of stainless steel such as 301, 302, 304, 316 or 17-7 PH stainless steel. They are highly resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for applications in humid or chemically aggressive environments.

Types of steel used in stainless steel spring strips

Hax-Inox offers stainless spring strips made of various types of stainless steel, such as austenitic, ferritic, or martensitic. Each of these types has different properties, which allows for the selection of the right material depending on the customer's needs.

  • Austenitic steel is the most popular type of stainless steel, due to its high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Strips made of this type of steel are used in the automotive, construction and food industries.
  • Ferritic steel is characterized by lower carbon and chromium content, which makes it more resistant to corrosion than austenitic steel. Stainless spring strips made of this type of steel are often used in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
  • Martensitic steel, on the other hand, has very high hardness and mechanical strength. Strips made of this type of steel are ideal for the production of elements requiring high strength, such as springs or bearings.

Different variants of stainless steel spring strips

Stainless steel spring strips  are available in various sizes and finishes. They are made in accordance with the EN 1008802 standard. We offer them with cut edge (GK) or rounded edge (AK) finishes. We can also make tapes with parameters specified by the Customer.

Steel strips dimensions:

  • thickness: from 0.05 mm to 4.0 mm,
  • widths: from 3.0 mm to 2000 mm,
  • lengths of formats cut from strips: from 200 mm to 6000 mm in sheets and any length in the form of coils.

Stainless spring strips are manufactured from stainless steel, among other things. They are resistant to UV radiation, as well as high and low temperatures. They are not subject to mechanical loads and vibrations.

We can supply stainless steel spring strips in various forms:

  • in coils with internal diameters: 300 mm, 400 mm, 508 mm and 600 mm,
  • in spools weighing from 2 to 50 kg,
  • in straight sections of any length cut from strips.

We are able to produce tapes with tensile strength in the range of 900-2100 MPa, which equals steel hardness from 280 to 630 HV.

Application of stainless steel spring strips

Stainless steel spring strips are often used in the construction industry , in logistics, and in various industries. They are used in the medical, food and automotive industries, among others. They are used as securing or fastening tapes, because they are characterized by solidity, strength and resistance to stretching. Using short lengths of stainless steel spring strips, you can attach wires, cables, and poles. They can also be used to secure heavy loads.

The greatest advantages of stainless steel spring strips

The products we offer have numerous advantages, including:

  • Elasticity – Stainless steel spring strips have the ability to deform under load and return to their original shape after the load is removed. This makes them ideal for applications requiring elasticity and flexibility, such as springs or shock-absorbing elements;
  • Corrosion resistance – Due to their stainless properties, these strips are resistant to rust and other forms of corrosion. Therefore, they are often used in conditions where contact with water or chemicals is unavoidable;
  • Wide availability – stainless steel spring strips are available in various sizes, thicknesses and widths, which allows them to be used in various projects and applications;
  • Durability – thanks to their corrosion resistance and high strength, stainless steel spring strips are durable and resistant to many environmental factors, which translates into long service life and reliability in use.

Stainless steel spring strips can be subjected to various processing processes, such as cutting, bending or hardening, to obtain specific mechanical properties and shapes that are required in a given application. Thanks to their unique properties, they are irreplaceable in many applications where traditional materials can be destroyed by extreme conditions.
