Low carbon steel strips

Low carbon steel strips  are steel products with a low carbon content, usually less than 0.25%. They are made by hot or cold rolling steel plates of appropriate thicknesses and then cutting them into thin strips. These strips are used in a wide variety of applications because of their strength, durability and relatively low cost.

Low-carbon steel has a low carbon content, making it soft and easy to machine. Low-carbon steel strips are easy to form, either cold or hot, into a variety of shapes and products. Although they are lower in strength than higher-carbon steels, they are strong enough for many applications, especially when combined with the appropriate thermal and mechanical processes. Low-carbon steel can be coated with anti-corrosion coatings to improve their resistance to rust.

Low-carbon steel is designed for cold plastic processing. In this group of steels we offer the following grades: DC01, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC06. Depending on the customer's needs, we select the appropriate steel grade.

DC04, DC05, DC06 steel is used for deep drawing.

The most popular and most available type of low carbon steel is DC01 strips. Depending on the hardness requirements of the steel, we offer all low carbon strips in various hardness states:

Application of low carbon steel strips

Low-carbon steel strips are used in many industries. They are used to produce automotive parts, such as body sheets, structural elements, and interior and exterior vehicle details. They are also used in:

  • construction industry,
  • production of household appliances,
  • production of housings and electrical components,
  • packaging production,

Low carbon steel strips are also used in various building elements, such as balustrades, fences, doors and windows.
